Strategy versus tactics
A strategy is the why and the order; tactics are the individual actions. "Grow an email list of ideal readers before launch, then convert them on launch week" is a strategy. Running a giveaway is a tactic that may or may not serve it.
Book Profits Club, which publishes this guide, encourages authors to write the strategy on one page: the reader, the promise of the book, the channels, the timeline, and the next step offered to readers who want more help.
